Understanding UK boarding school entry
Most UK independent boarding schools admit at 13+ via the Common Entrance (CE) examination, set by the Independent Schools Examinations Board (ISEB). CE tests English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, French, Religious Studies and optionally Latin.
Selective schools — Eton, Winchester, Harrow and others — additionally require scholarship papers, which are significantly more demanding than standard CE. Interview skills are also crucial for competitive entry.
Preparation typically begins in Year 5 or Year 6 (ages 9–11), giving families two to three years to build the academic foundations and exam technique the top schools expect.

Why online tutoring works for Gulf families
Time zones align well
UAE (UTC+4) and Saudi/Qatar (UTC+3) mornings overlap with early UK evenings. A 7pm session in London is 10–11pm in the Gulf — workable for families who prefer late evening study.
No compromise on quality
Our tutors use shared whiteboards, screen annotation and past papers in real time. Many Gulf families report online sessions being more focused than in-person, with fewer travel disruptions.
Continuity through travel
Gulf families often travel during UK school holidays — exactly when intensive prep needs to happen. Online sessions continue uninterrupted regardless of where the family is.
